QuickBooks Desktop Installation Error Code 1603

QuickBooks Error 1603 is known as one of the notable problems while updating or installing the program. This errors mostly occurs when your Microsoft Operating System has an infected file related to it. This error might come up during the QuickBooks installation process or while you are updating QuickBooks. 
The error message would look like:
  • Error 1603: The update installer has encountered an internal error.
  • Error 1603: Unable to apply the patch.
  • MSI 1603: Fatal error during installation.
Symptoms of QuickBooks Error Code 1603:
  • The company file or database file is locked.
  • The Microsoft .NET 1.1 SP1 or.Net framework 3.5 installers itself are not installed correctly.
  • The Security/Policy/Permissions are not allowing the installation.
  • Windows Temp folder is full.
  • Your entire QuickBooks installation is corrupted.
  • Microsoft Windows installer is corrupted.
  • Your PC frequently crashes with Error 1603 when running the same program.
  • Windows runs sluggishly and responds slowly to mouse or keyboard input.
Causes of QuickBooks Error Code 1603:
  • The download of QuickBooks software is corrupted.
  • Due to infections like malware, they may also corrupt QuickBooks installation
  • There might be the possibility any other program maliciously or mistakenly/Intentionally deleted QuickBooks related files.
  • Corruption in Windows registry from a recent QuickBooks-related software change (install or uninstall)

There are two different solutions to follow. Accordingly, the first solution may solve your problem or you can try both solutions for error 1603
Solution 1: Download QBinstallTool.exe file.
Download the QBInstallTool.exe file. Which will attempt to fix this error? Save this file to your desktop. Now DoubleClick (if you are an admin account) the file to run the tool or Run it as Administrator. Solution 2: Fix the MSXML 6.0 Component
If you are installing QuickBooks Desktop from a download file
1.    Download the msxml.msi installation file & save it to your desktop.
a.    Go to -Windows Start button.
b.    In the Start Search field, enter msiexec.exe /fvaum "%userprofile%\desktop\msxml.msi & press Enter.
2.    Install QuickBooks Desktop once MSXML 6.0 installation is completed.
If you are installing QB Desktop from a CD
1.    Insert the CD into the CD drive. (If the QB Desktop installation window opens on your screen then close it.)
2.    Start the MSXML installation process.
a.    Go to- Windows Start button & select Computer.
b.    Open the CD drive & then open the ThirdParty folder.
c.     Open - MSXML6 folder.
d.    If you have a 64-bit system, launch the msxml6_64.msi else launch the msxml6_86.msi for 32-bit systems.
3.    Install QuickBooks Desktop after the MSXML 6installation is completed.
